About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients with pelvic floor disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with pelvic floor disorders, using your specialist skills and knowledge to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Act as an autonomous practitioner, making clinical decisions and management plans in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of patients presenting to the pelvic floor service.
  • Develop and implement nurse-led clinics, applicable to the post and specialist, to include both new and follow-up patients.
  • Provide expert advice, support, and education to nursing and medical staff through clinical practice and evidence-based development.
  • Facilitate the planning and delivery of care programs to address patient needs and develop/improve the service.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team, as a key worker for patients under colorectal pelvic floor care.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload, work under pressure, and have a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pelvic floor care, with the ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Autonomy and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
