Protective Services Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our esteemed team, playing a vital role in safeguarding individuals and property within designated premises. As a proactive observer, you will monitor activities and incidents, utilizing equipment such as metal detectors and security wands. Your commitment to service improvement and continuous training will be instrumental in fostering a secure environment.
This role entails:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Weekly Hours: 42.5
Mandatory SIA License
Possession of a Driving License or accessible travel options
Become a part of Securitas, where your commitment to safety is recognized and essential as a Security Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Prevent unauthorized access by monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems as required.
- Conduct thorough external and internal security patrols as outlined in the Assignment Instructions, providing traffic management and enforcing parking regulations as necessary.
- Oversee key management, perform locking and unlocking tasks, and conduct routine checks of security equipment as specified in the Assignment Instructions.
- Issue visitor and contractor passes, manage lost property, and maintain all logs and records in compliance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Offer support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the security of the premises and adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Conduct vehicle inspections.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to making a positive impact in the workplace.
- Engage with others in a supportive manner, aligning with our Core Values.
- Handle responsibilities associated with high-risk assignments.
- Valid SIA Licence
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer
- Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle
- Right to Work status and a 5-year checkable employment history
- Confident and observant demeanor
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively
- Proficient in IT
