Position Overview

As a Security Officer, you will be integral in safeguarding individuals and property within your designated area. Your role will involve diligent monitoring and reporting of activities and incidents, utilizing equipment such as metal detectors and wands. With a commitment to enhancing service quality and continuous training, you will help maintain a secure environment.

This role entails:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

42.5 hours per week

Required: SIA License

Must possess a Driving License or have reliable travel options

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all assigned duties safely, adhering to statutory and local regulations.
  • Ensure all contractors and their equipment are accounted for and managed securely while on-site, following established procedures and instructions.
  • Facilitate the proper handling of all necessary documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, ensuring it is safe and secure at all times.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing, and utilize communication devices such as radios.
  • Exhibit flexibility and a proactive approach, focusing on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivate and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of external areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation.
Required Qualifications
  • SIA License
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Security Officer
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle
  • Right to Work and a 5-year checkable history
  • Confident and alert demeanor
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to manage conflicts
  • Proficient in IT
