As a key member of our Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for collecting surplus food from our food industry partners and delivering it to our regional centres across the West and East Midlands.

Main Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our food partners, ensuring a professional and friendly impression of the charity.
  • Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the Supply Chain Team to plan and execute daily collections and deliveries, adhering to all laws and working time regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of collections and allocations, including temperature readings and paperwork.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and respond to any barriers or opportunities, using problem-solving skills to mitigate any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Delivery and Safety: Ensure deliveries follow the assigned order, routes are planned appropriately, and all delivery windows are met safely.
Requirements
  • Class 2 UK Driving License
  • Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads
  • Health and Safety awareness
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Good geographic knowledge of the Midlands
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clean License
  • Accredited forklift truck permit (counterbalance)
  • Experience delivering chilled or frozen food
