Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team, playing a vital role in safeguarding individuals and property within your designated area. As a proactive observer, you will monitor activities and incidents at the client location, utilizing equipment such as metal detectors and security wands. Your commitment to service improvement and continuous training will be essential in fostering a secure environment.

This role requires:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

42.5 hours weekly

Mandatory SIA license

Driving License or accessible travel options

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevent unauthorized access to the premises by monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems as necessary.
  • Conduct both external and internal security patrols as outlined in the Assignment Instructions, providing traffic management and enforcing parking regulations as needed.
  • Manage keys, perform locking and unlocking duties, and conduct routine checks of security equipment as specified in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Issue visitor and contractor passes, handle lost property, and maintain all logbooks and records in compliance with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Offer support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the protection of the premises and adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Perform vehicle inspections.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in the workplace.
  • Engage with others in a supportive manner, aligning with our Core Values.
  • Handle high-risk assignments responsibly.
Essential Qualifications
  • SIA Licence
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer
  • Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle
  • Right to Work and a 5-year checkable history
  • Confident and alert demeanor
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficient in IT
