Job Summary

Absolutely Recruitment is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Events Manager to join their Events team. The Senior Events Manager will have a significant role in the Events Team, overseeing the Parks and Corporate team and responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of outdoor events and activities within their parks and open spaces.

Main Responsibilities

  • Venue Management
    • Be listed as a Designated Person (DPS) on certain venues
    • Ensure a smooth venue booking process is in place for the team
    • Provide clients with venue availability, quotes, and lead site visits
    • Brief clients on terms and conditions for hire and licenses and support clients making event applications
    • Ensure all event application paperwork per event is complete and compliant with the requirements of the Event Policy
    • Oversee health and safety procedures; liaise with security personnel and conduct thorough site inspections before, during, and after events
    • Work with internal and external contractors to secure the necessary services for each event
  • Event Planning and Coordination
    • Develop and implement event plans and strategies to meet business objectives
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure event logistics are in place
    • Manage event budgets and ensure financial compliance
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of events coordinators and support staff
    • Provide guidance and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event management and coordination
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
