Lloyd's is on the lookout for a Senior Associate for Market Governance and Risk Management. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Senior Manager of Market Governance, Risk, and Resilience, as well as the Head of Market Governance, by conducting in-depth analyses of various submissions and documents from the market to evaluate the maturity level and the extent to which managing agents adhere to best practices and meet the expectations of Principles Based Oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze a variety of managing agent documents, including ORSAs, Board Effectiveness Reviews, and Board Packs, to offer recommendations to the Senior Manager regarding the necessity for additional oversight activities.
- Manage the Governance Indicators Framework, which involves collaboration with internal teams, delivering reports to the Senior Manager on any changes and developments that may require the involvement of Account Managers or Oversight Teams, and preparing reports for the Market Oversight Group.
- Assist the Senior Manager and Head of Function in conducting oversight activities, including meetings with Board Directors and Senior Executives of managing agents to discuss Risk Management and Governance.
- Oversee the change of control process for managing agents, which includes reviewing applications and summarizing transactions for senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in governance and risk management.
- Extensive experience in managing activities, priorities, and personnel at a senior level.
- Expertise in advising on risk management, performance, and regulatory matters.
- Experience in engaging with regulators and presenting relevant information.
- Understanding of regulatory expectations concerning governance and risk management.
- Knowledge of the elements that contribute to robust governance, effective Boards, successful strategy execution, and common pitfalls to avoid.
- Familiarity with business process and systems change methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring timely, transparent, and well-articulated communication of decisions.
- Capability to influence and negotiate effectively, collaborating and building consensus as needed.
- Demonstrated empathy and insight-gathering skills that enhance the Corporation's understanding of issues and opportunities.
