Lloyd's is on the lookout for a Senior Associate in Market Governance and Risk Management. In this role, you will assist the Senior Manager of Market Governance, Risk, and Resilience, as well as the Head of Market Governance, by conducting thorough analyses of various submissions and documents from the market. Your goal will be to evaluate the maturity level and assess how well managing agents adhere to best practices and the expectations set forth by Principles Based Oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze a variety of managing agent documents, including ORSAs, Board Effectiveness Reviews, and Board Packs, to provide informed recommendations to the Senior Manager regarding necessary oversight activities.
- Oversee the Governance Indicators Framework, collaborating with internal teams, reporting any significant changes or developments to the Senior Manager, and preparing updates for the Market Oversight Group.
- Support the Senior Manager and Head of Function in oversight activities, which include engaging with Board Directors and Senior Executives of managing agents to discuss matters related to Risk Management and Governance.
- Manage the change of control process for managing agents, which involves reviewing applications and summarizing transactions for senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in governance and risk management.
- Extensive experience in managing priorities and activities at a senior level.
- Expertise in advising on risk management, performance, and regulatory matters.
- Familiarity with engaging and communicating with regulators.
- Understanding of regulatory expectations concerning governance and risk management.
- Knowledge of the elements that contribute to strong governance, effective Boards, successful strategy execution, and common pitfalls to avoid.
- Proficiency in business process and systems change methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring timely and transparent communication of decisions.
- Skill in influencing and negotiating effectively, fostering collaboration and consensus.
- Capacity to demonstrate empathy and gather insights that enhance the Corporation's understanding of issues and opportunities.
