Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Market Governance and Risk Associate to support our Market Governance, Risk, and Resilience Senior Manager and Head of Market Governance. You'll undertake expert analysis of submissions and documents from the market to assess maturity and good practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and analyze managing agent documents, such as ORSAs, Board Effectiveness Reviews, and Board Packs, to make recommendations on additional oversight activity.
  2. Operate the Governance Indicators Framework, engaging with internal teams, providing reports to the Senior Manager, and preparing reports for the Market Oversight Group.
  3. Support the Senior Manager and Head of Function in conducting oversight, including meetings with Board Directors and Senior Executives of managing agents to discuss Risk Management and Governance.
  4. Manage the change of control process for managing agents, reviewing applications, and providing summaries of transactions to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Relevant governance and risk management experience.
  • Significant experience managing activities, priorities, and people up to a senior level.
  • Experience advising on risk management, performance, and regulation.
  • Exposure to presenting to and/or communicating with regulators.
  • Regulatory expectations in regard to governance and risk management.
  • The factors that drive strong governance, an effective Board, developing and executing a successful strategy, and pitfalls to avoid.
  • Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles.
