The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will provide essential leadership to ensure that vulnerable adults and their families within the Bi-borough receive the support they need to lead healthy and independent lives. You will oversee a team of social work managers and care professionals, implementing a comprehensive approach to the assessment, planning, and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and culturally sensitive services. Your focus will be on ensuring that resources are allocated to those at greatest risk of marginalization or inequality.
As a champion of a culture of openness, safeguarding will be a primary concern. You will be responsible for establishing robust arrangements for professional development, supervision, and line management. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that quality assurance systems, governance, and reporting frameworks are effectively in place, guiding your team through transformative periods, and managing resources to maximize value.
About You:
You will possess a degree, relevant professional qualifications, and practical experience, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development with an emphasis on management and leadership. A thorough understanding of national policies and best practices, particularly concerning the Care Act, safeguarding, deprivation of liberty safeguards, and mental capacity, is essential. Familiarity with the regulatory frameworks governing adult social care and the NHS is also crucial.
As a skilled leader of multi-disciplinary teams in complex settings, you will excel at fostering productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders. Experience in cultivating a collaborative, performance-driven culture and managing budgets while utilizing feedback to enhance service delivery will be expected.
