The Role:
In this pivotal position, you will provide expert leadership to ensure that vulnerable adults and their families within the Bi-borough receive the support they need to lead healthy and independent lives. You will lead a team of social work managers and care professionals, delivering a comprehensive approach to the assessment, planning, and provision of high-quality, cost-effective, and culturally sensitive services. Your focus will be on supporting those at risk of marginalization or inequality.
As a champion of a culture of transparency, safeguarding will be a key priority in your role. You will ensure that robust arrangements are in place for professional development, line management, and supervision. Additionally, you will oversee quality assurance systems, governance, and reporting mechanisms, guiding your team through periods of change while managing resources effectively to provide exceptional value.
About You:
We seek candidates with a degree, relevant professional qualifications, and practical experience, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development with an emphasis on management and leadership. You should possess current knowledge of national policies and best practices, along with a solid understanding of the Care Act, safeguarding, deprivation of liberty safeguards, and mental capacity. Familiarity with the regulatory frameworks governing adult social care and the NHS is essential, as is insight into NHS and social care strategic policies.
You will be adept at implementing best practices in the care of vulnerable adults, skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams in complex settings, and capable of building productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders. Experience in fostering a collaborative, performance-oriented culture and managing budgets while utilizing feedback to enhance service delivery is expected.
