Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team within the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration. Experience in Emergency Care is preferred. You should demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with proficient time management, are essential. Flexibility is required, as you may occasionally care for adult patients.
Your role will involve excellent communication with nursing colleagues and members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring consistent service delivery by addressing the daily challenges of maintaining safe, effective, and person-centered care.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- First Level Registered Nurse RCN/RN Child branch
- A proactive approach to seeking new learning opportunities related to pediatric knowledge and competencies concerning children's health and well-being.
- Experience in Emergency Department Nursing.
- A willingness to enhance teamwork skills while demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
Work Hours:
This position requires a commitment of 34.1 hours per week, working a shift pattern across seven days.
Additional Information:
From April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will decrease from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without any loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to implementing this change, although there may be some areas where full transition takes longer to ensure patient safety.
