Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to become a vital member of our Medical Assessment Unit.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be accountable for evaluating patient care requirements and formulating tailored care plans, as well as executing and assessing these plans to ensure exceptional patient care delivery.

This role requires the nurse to perform all necessary care procedures independently and may involve guiding and overseeing both registered and unregistered personnel, including nursing students.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Registration
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Basic IT proficiency

Desirable Attributes

  • Degree-level education or completion of post-registration training
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Immediate Life Support certification
  • Prior experience in a Registered Nursing role
  • Demonstrated post-registration skills such as IV drug therapy, cannulation, and phlebotomy
  • Evidence of positive role modelling
  • Familiarity with NHS Patient Management Systems
  • Flexibility in working patterns
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
