We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in the management and clinical leadership of our Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Supervise, develop, and deploy staff to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Lead the management of the Emergency Department, including the coordination of patient care and the management of resources.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Postgraduate expertise in a relevant specialty or area of practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures.
- Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery.
- Excellent team-working and leadership skills.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Nursing diploma or degree.
- Registered nurse with Emergency Department experience.
- MINTS minors.
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service.
- A minimum of 8 days of public holidays.
