Job Title: Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Charge Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at NHS Scotland. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of nurses in the Emergency Department, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience working in an acute setting, preferably in an Emergency Department.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
