Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to become a vital member of our Medical Assessment Unit within NHS Scotland.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be accountable for evaluating patient care requirements and formulating tailored care plans, as well as executing and assessing these plans to ensure the provision of exceptional healthcare services.
This role requires the nurse to perform all necessary care procedures independently and may involve demonstrating techniques and overseeing both registered and unregistered personnel, including nursing students.

Key Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
- Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong time management abilities
- Basic IT proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree-level education or post-registration training
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Immediate Life Support certification
- Previous experience in a Registered Nursing role
- Demonstrated post-registration skills, such as IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Proven ability to serve as a positive role model
- Familiarity with NHS Patient Management Systems
- Flexibility in working patterns
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
