We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity within our organization for the role of Clinical Quality and Safety Manager, specializing in Infection Prevention and Control.

In this pivotal position, you will collaborate closely with the Hospital Leadership, Nursing Directors, and the Senior Management team, as well as Departmental Leaders, to establish and oversee a comprehensive quality governance, assurance, and regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities

As the Clinical Quality and Safety Manager and IPC Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering a culture of safety by implementing safety alerts, guidance, best practices, and lessons learned from incidents.
  • Offering expert advice and support to clinical teams during investigations.
  • Leading clinical and organizational audits to ensure effectiveness and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Supporting and coordinating teams to ensure compliance with key performance indicators, clinical effectiveness, and risk management protocols.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of organizational performance to guarantee compliance with care standards.
  • Preparing for inspections or assessments from regulatory bodies.
  • Providing leadership and specialized guidance on all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Leading governance meetings and presenting clinical governance updates.
  • Engaging with relevant professional organizations and networks to identify continuous improvement opportunities through policy development.
  • Managing compliance related to medical devices and ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Assessing staff training compliance and reviewing clinical and operational policies, including organizing training sessions and providing ongoing support.

About Us

To qualify for this position, candidates must be a registered Health Care professional with relevant credentials, and possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in hospital operations.
  • Proven experience in clinical governance.
  • At least 2 years in a management or senior role.
  • Experience or qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control (desirable but not mandatory, willingness to undertake training is essential).
