Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Neuropsychology Service at Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, with experience in working with adults who have experienced a stroke.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide highly specialist neuropsychological assessment and treatment of adults with stroke referred to the Kent Neuropsychology Service.
  • Work closely with the Medway Stroke Team to provide a comprehensive service to patients and their families.
  • Formulate and implement plans of specialist neuropsychological treatment of stroke based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models.
  • Be responsible for providing a specialist neuropsychological perspective into the multi-disciplinary assessment of adults with stroke and their families.
  • Work as a member of the Kent Neuropsychology Service team.
  • Be responsible for clinical supervision and professional management of other Psychology Staff.

Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
  • HCPC Registration Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Additional Training/CPD in Neuropsychology.
  • Training in Supervision Skills.
  • Evidence of working with people with stroke/brain injury or other neurological conditions.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary Teams.
  • Four years clinical experience since qualification.
