Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Psychotherapist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Leader, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and plans to ensure swift and appropriate psychological support for staff, including following staff safety incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to understand the needs of staff in different settings and conceptualise innovative strategies to aid delivery of support.
  • Provide professional leadership, advice, and guidance to nursing and non-nursing staff, fostering collaborative partnerships with other disciplines.
  • Monitor quality improvement metrics to support compliance with local and external practice standards.
  • Participate in audit and research programmes to advance the service.
  • Identify and minimise clinical and non-clinical risk issues, reporting to the senior team.
  • Implement action plans to address areas falling below acceptable standards.
  • Act in a professional manner in accordance with the NMC guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and legible client records are kept in line with professional and legal requirements.
  • Promote effective working relationships and communications with Consultants, medical staff, nurse colleagues, and other multi-agency professionals.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of psychotherapy theories and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and foster effective working relationships.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and advice to staff.
  • Ability to monitor and improve quality metrics, with a focus on compliance with local and external standards.
  • Experience in audit and research programmes, with a focus on advancing the service.
