The Senior Clinical Supervisor role is a hybrid position focused on ensuring that the clinical services delivered across the range of Care First contracts maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency within a solid clinical governance framework. The role encompasses significant leadership responsibilities and necessitates direct client interaction from counselling, support, and customer service perspectives.

This position is crucial in guaranteeing the delivery of counselling services that meet established clinical and contractual standards and performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Clinical Director and EAP Centre Manager to establish a supportive environment for Centre staff and actively participate in the Clinical Management Team, providing clinical leadership to our counsellors. Contribute to the business's performance, including achieving service response rates, referral rates, efficient case management processes, and meeting contractual quality and service delivery standards. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of timely clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with EAPA Standards and Priory clinical governance requirements. Adhere to the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new Telephone Counsellors and Telephone Information Specialists to meet the demand for calls. Work with the EAP Centre Manager / Clinical Director to identify ongoing training and development needs for Counsellors and Information Specialists, and develop training programs to address those needs. Provide ad-hoc clinical supervision and guidance to the Telephone Counsellor and Associate Counsellor teams, as well as support for the Information Specialist team as needed. Manage the team's Clinical mailbox, ensuring that all inquiries from customers, clients, Service Managers, and team members are addressed promptly. Engage in scoping and coordinating the delivery of responses to Critical Incidents, Workplace Mediation, and Professional Support services. Supervise and oversee the case management of Associate Counsellors and Specialist Practitioners. Conduct audits of Case Notes and clinical outcome measures to ensure proper completion. Participate in case consultations and manage complex client work, as agreed with the Clinical Director and EAP Centre Manager. Investigate and respond to clinical complaints in collaboration with the EAP Centre Manager / Clinical Director / Service Managers, ensuring that quality standards are upheld. Provide emergency, holiday, and sickness cover as necessary. Engage in training events and ongoing professional development.
