Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity is available for a Nursing Associate Trainee to become part of our expanding multi-disciplinary team at Ravenswood Medical Practice.

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our practice. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time roles (30 hours per week) from dynamic candidates eager to embark on the 2-year Nursing Associate Foundation Degree.

Key Responsibilities

This is a developmental position. The trainee will progress towards becoming a Nursing Associate by successfully completing the Nursing Associate training program, which culminates in the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. The role involves developing and maintaining the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies associated with the Nursing Associate position within our service, alongside practical experience in care settings focused on delivering person-centered care.

The Nursing Associate training program is designed to integrate academic learning with practical experience, fostering collaboration between employers and educational institutions. As a trainee Nursing Associate, you will be employed within a specific organization while gaining exposure to various health and care environments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of diverse contexts in health and care.

Upon completion of the program, the trainee Nursing Associate will possess the essential knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors required for employment as a Nursing Associate, adhering to a nationally recognized code of conduct.

About Our Practice

Joining our extensive Medical Practice team means becoming part of a dedicated group comprising 9 GPs, 5 paramedics, a Nursing team of 10, and supportive Admin and Reception teams, serving a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Maths & English Grade C/4 GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills (original certificates required)
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable:

  • Experience with SystmOne
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Prior customer-facing experience

  • Qualified Registered Nurse
