About the Role

Orchard Medical Practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Nursing Associate. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the practice nurse with various clinical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the practice nurse with health promotion programs, including conducting baseline observations and facilitating routine monitoring.
  • Administer medications, such as B12 injections, and perform phlebotomy as required.
  • Undertake wound care, dressings, and other clinical tasks as needed.
  • Support the practice nurse with the management of chronic disease clinics and carry out BMI checks as directed.
  • Act as a chaperone as required and ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation.
  • Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
  • Training and experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally working in Primary Care.
