About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Critical Care team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position based at the Ipswich Hospital site.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Critical Care, you will work closely with our team of nurses and healthcare assistants to provide excellent support to our patients and their families. You will be responsible for assisting with patient care, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and contributing to the smooth running of our Critical Care Unit.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team, and be flexible according to the day-to-day needs of the unit. You will also need to have a good standard of basic education qualifications and have completed your Care Certificate.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the Critical Care Unit, including assisting with administrative tasks
