Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

Are you a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal abilities seeking your next career advancement? Do you have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care within a collaborative healthcare environment? If you can affirmatively respond to these questions, you may be the ideal candidate for our team.

We are pleased to present an opportunity to become a member of the Brain and Head & Neck Clinical Nurse Consultant Team at our healthcare facility, focusing on Oncology Nursing services. This position is primarily full-time, although part-time arrangements may be considered.

This role operates independently, yet you will maintain robust connections with colleagues at other sites and the broader Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist team. Your professional growth is a priority, and we offer various avenues for ongoing development.

We are open to considering Band 6 developmental positions.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a comprehensive care service for patients diagnosed with Brain and Head & Neck cancers. You will provide specialized care, guidance, and support to patients undergoing treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as to their families and other healthcare professionals.

This role encompasses clinical responsibilities, the establishment and leadership of nurse-led clinics tailored to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with the Oncology/Haematology day unit and ward management.

It is essential to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and facilitate the professional development of nursing staff within the division.

About Our Organization

We are the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, providing hospital and community health services to nearly one million individuals across the region. Our dedicated workforce delivers care from acute hospitals, community hospitals, medical practices, community clinics, and in patients' homes.

As the largest NHS organization in East Anglia, we employ over 12,000 staff members.

We take pride in supporting our employees by offering a wide array of training and development opportunities, along with flexible working arrangements.

In addition to assisting you in achieving your career aspirations, we provide a competitive pension scheme, additional payments for unsocial hours (where applicable), 27 days of annual leave upon commencement (pro rata), and access to various NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing program offers a range of services.

Our guiding principle is that time is valuable to everyone. Throughout the Trust, we focus on enhancing our processes and eliminating those that cause delays for our staff and patients.

We are committed to improving our services through a partnership with a leading electronic patient record (EPR) provider, which will significantly enhance the experience for both staff and patients.

If you are dedicated to patient care and eager to expand your skills and knowledge, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.
