Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Innovation: Oversee project prioritization, troubleshoot complex challenges, and address inquiries from senior staff.
  • Practical Expertise: Define and support a variety of assays while contributing to the development and implementation of novel methodologies in proteomics. Utilize analytical skills to assess projects and provide feedback on study design.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with both internal and external partners, fostering a flexible and cooperative work environment while mentoring and inspiring colleagues.
  • Technical Advancement: Engage in projects that enhance the capabilities of our Proteomics facility and the scientific contributions of the institute.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with quantitative proteomic techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge and practical experience with advanced mass spectrometers, particularly Orbitrap models.
  • Familiarity with statistical or computational methods is highly desirable.

Educational Background:

  • A PhD in analytical chemistry, life sciences, or significant relevant experience.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in analyzing quantitative mass spectrometry data and interpreting results.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Experience with R programming is a plus.

Commitment to Innovation:

  • A strong interest in staying abreast of the latest developments in proteomics and contributing to research publications.

Note: The funding for this position is available for a fixed term.
