Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist to join our team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. As a Research Associate, you will contribute to cutting-edge translational research designed to unravel the complex multicellular ecosystems that drive breast cancer.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational biology and experience in immunology or analysis of the Tumor Microenvironment (TME). You will work closely with our team to characterise regulators of an immunosuppressive TME and their impact on immunotherapy response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of novel computational methods for analysing high-dimensional tissue imaging data
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement experiments to characterise regulators of the TME
  • Analyse and interpret complex data to understand the dynamics of the TME
  • Communicate research findings through publications and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field (computational biology, immunology, bioinformatics)
  • Strong background in computational biology and experience in immunology or TME analysis
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
