Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

The Zatulovskiy Group at the University of Cambridge seeks a highly motivated Research Associate to contribute to groundbreaking research in cellular biology.

Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to unraveling the complexities of animal cell size regulation and how it influences cell fate decisions. We utilize cutting-edge quantitative techniques, including live-cell microscopy, proteomics, and mathematical modeling, to investigate these fundamental biological processes.

Your Role:

  • Spearhead a project exploring the impact of cell size on signaling pathways and cell fate choices in both somatic and stem cells.
  • Employ a range of techniques including stem cell maintenance and differentiation protocols, cell biology assays, biochemistry, live-cell microscopy, flow cytometry, proteomics, and transcriptomics.
  • Contribute to the advancement of our understanding of how cell size influences cellular behavior and fate decisions in health and disease.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a PhD with a strong research background in molecular/cellular biology.
  • Demonstrate expertise in one or more of the aforementioned techniques, with a willingness to learn new methods.
  • Exhibit independent thinking and a drive to lead research projects.

Join our vibrant research community at the University of Cambridge and contribute to impactful discoveries in the field of cellular biology.
