About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in the field of vasculogenic mimicry and its role in cancer development, progression, and evasion of therapeutic pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in vasculogenic mimicry and its role in cancer development, progression, and evasion of therapeutic pressure
  • Develop and maintain small animal models of cancer, including syngeneic and xenograft models
  • Investigate the role of the micro-environment and tumour heterogeneity in VM-driven cancer progression and response to therapy using 3D imaging and spatial transcriptomics and proteomics
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to advance our understanding of vasculogenic mimicry and its role in cancer
  • Present research findings at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant discipline, such as cancer biology, cell biology, or a related field
  • Significant experience in small animal models of cancer, cell biology techniques, and histology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
