About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the mechanisms of vasculogenic mimicry in cancer development and progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to study vasculogenic mimicry in syngeneic and xenograft models of human cancers
  • Analyze data and interpret results to understand the role of the micro-environment and tumour heterogeneity in VM-driven cancer progression
  • Develop and implement new techniques and approaches to study vasculogenic mimicry, including 3D imaging and spatial transcriptomics and proteomics
  • Collaborate with other researchers and scientists to share knowledge and expertise
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant discipline, such as cancer biology or a related field
  • Significant experience in small animal models of cancer, cell biology techniques, and histology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
