About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Outreach Specialist to join our dynamic services team at Doctors of the World UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centred healthcare to individuals seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of primary care services within a HIV outreach project, providing initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and facilitating GP registration and access to wider healthcare services.
  • Collaborate with local services and partners to coordinate referrals and signposting, ensuring seamless care pathways for our clients.
  • Deliver HIV support and testing services, including clinical consultations, to individuals not registered with a GP.
  • Work closely with the team to manage complex situations, such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, demonstrating emotional agility and resilience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including community groups and healthcare providers, to promote equal access to primary medical services.
Requirements
  • Strong clinical experience in delivering person-centred care to excluded communities, with a focus on advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills and a driving license, with the ability to work independently and manage health and safety protocols.
  • Experience working with volunteers and managing teams, with a focus on open and responsive communication.
  • Strong understanding of the asylum system, migration, and exclusion from health services, with a commitment to promoting equal access to healthcare.
