About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Outreach Specialist to join our team at Archer Resourcing LTD. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing substance misuse issues, helping them on their path to recovery and integration into the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support and Guidance: Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to clients, building and maintaining positive relationships to help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • Initial Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' needs, strengths, and challenges, identifying areas for support and development.
  • Recovery Planning: Develop and implement individualized recovery plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on achievable goals and outcomes.
  • Service Linkage: Facilitate access to appropriate services and resources, such as healthcare, housing, and employment support, to help clients achieve stability and independence.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Conduct regular outreach activities to identify and engage with individuals in need of support, building trust and rapport to encourage participation in recovery services.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and needs within various systems, including healthcare and social services, to ensure they receive the support they require.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes, contributing to service evaluation and improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports and case studies as required, providing valuable insights to inform service development and delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a similar role, particularly with individuals experiencing substance misuse issues.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of recovery principles and harm reduction strategies, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outreach Experience: Experience in outreach work and community engagement, with a proven ability to build relationships and engage hard-to-reach populations.
  • Certification: Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months, or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.
