Community Support Specialist Role
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Community Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting individuals in maintaining their independence and achieving their goals within the community.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with individuals to develop personalized support plans that align with their aspirations and needs.
- Provide guidance and support in areas such as domestic and financial management, accessing employment opportunities, and engaging in leisure activities.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within our IT system.
- Build strong relationships with local organizations, including healthcare providers, social services agencies, and community groups.
- Promote the services of Recovery Focus within the community through outreach and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals in their recovery journey.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of mental health issues and the challenges faced by individuals in recovery.
- Experience working with diverse populations and backgrounds is highly desirable.
