About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Specialist Support Team, making a significant impact on the lives of those we assist. We seek an individual with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and integrating person-centered assessments and interventions aligned with Behaviour Support methodologies. Your passion for quality, strong communication skills, and ability to drive results will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a model and resource for best practices in supporting individuals through a Behaviour Support framework.
  • Conduct functional assessments, analyze data, and develop Behaviour Support strategies and plans.
  • Ensure all assessments are person-centered, comprehensive, and accurately reflect the risk factors for individuals and their surroundings.
  • Facilitate the development of Certitude's local offerings by providing training and coaching in Behaviour Support.
  • Assist in enhancing Certitude's services for individuals at risk of exclusion from mainstream services and potential hospital admissions.

About You:
To excel as a Behaviour Support Specialist at Certitude, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Behaviour Support, Behaviour Analysis, or related fields.
  • A solid understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including those with complex health and mental health needs.
  • Experience in conducting functional assessments and developing Behaviour Support strategies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing data analysis to create and refine support plans and intervention strategies in collaboration with support teams and families.
  • A history of building strong, trust-based relationships with individuals and their families.
