We seek a qualified and experienced Lead Behaviour Support Specialist with a proven track record in empowering local teams to implement Behaviour Support strategies that enhance individuals' quality of life and wellbeing.

Applicants should possess extensive experience in crafting, executing, and integrating person-centered assessments and interventions aligned with Behaviour Support methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a model and resource for best practices in supporting individuals through a Behaviour Support framework across Certitude Support.
  • Collaborate with the Behaviour Support Lead to develop training and resources that enhance local competencies.
  • Conduct thorough person-centered functional assessments, analyze data, create Behaviour Support strategies and plans, and devise implementation plans based on comprehensive mediator analysis.
  • Aid in the development of Certitude Support's local offerings, enhancing capability and competency through mentoring, supervision, and coaching in Behaviour Support.
  • Contribute to the development of services for individuals at risk of exclusion from universal services and those facing potential hospital admissions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Behaviour Support, Behaviour Analysis, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism who have complex and challenging needs across various environments.
  • A deep understanding of the requirements of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including those with complex health and mental health needs.
  • Proven experience in conducting tailored assessments to facilitate transitions, including those moving from institutional settings to independent living.
