About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at RIBBONS AND REEVES. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work closely with a pupil with Autism, providing one-on-one support to help them navigate challenges and develop positive behaviour strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans in collaboration with the SEN team, teachers, and parents.
  2. Provide consistent encouragement and guidance to the pupil, building a trusting relationship and promoting social skills development.
  3. Assist the pupil in developing coping mechanisms and strategies to support their overall well-being and integration into school life.
  4. Monitor and record the pupil's progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of Autism and experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with the pupil and collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  3. Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a commitment to making a positive impact on the pupil's educational journey.
