We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Forensic Outreach Service as a Clinical Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with clients who have complex mental health needs and forensic backgrounds, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy services to clients with complex mental health needs and forensic backgrounds.
- Lead on the implementation of clinical pathways and audit, review, and report on outcomes against set key performance indicators.
- Provide support and supervision to junior Occupational Therapists and other team members as required.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to clients.
- Develop and maintain professional practice within the field of forensic mental health and Occupational Therapy.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration to practice in the UK.
- Evidence of post-registration training relevant to mental health and/or neurodevelopmental disorders practice.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling therapeutic alliances to be developed and maintained with service users who have multiple and complex needs.
- Ability to promote and maintain the profile of OT within an MDT and the wider organisation.
- Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities.
- Ability to reflect upon and critically appraise own performance.
