Community Outreach Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Outreach Specialist to join our team at Brook, the UK's leading sexual health and wellbeing charity. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and effective delivery of our Sexual Health Promotion & Community HIV Prevention Service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective blended outreach interventions to engage with and develop a positive presence in non-mainstream settings, such as night economy venues and public sex environments.
- Collaborate with community organisations, community businesses, and community champions to ensure target beneficiary groups are benefiting from good sexual and reproductive health education, support, and services.
- Work with a wide range of target beneficiary groups, including LGBTQ communities, MSM, Black Africans, and other BAME populations, refugees, and those with learning difficulties.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, community businesses, and community champions to ensure the target beneficiary groups are benefiting from good sexual and reproductive health education, support, and services.
- Proven experience in community outreach and engagement, preferably in the field of sexual health and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with community organisations, community businesses, and community champions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by diverse communities, particularly those affected by HIV and STIs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- 4 Day Week (working 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary)
- Annual leave – 28 days per annum, increasing up to 33 days plus 8 bank holidays
