Senior Risk Management Consultant - Fire Safety

Ark Workplace Risk is a leading provider of operational risk, compliance, and safety solutions, serving a prestigious and diverse clientele.

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Consultant specializing in fire safety, health, and safety management to enhance our team.

As a Risk Management Consultant, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through the complexities of legislation and policies, ensuring they achieve a safe and efficient operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and audits of fire safety and health management systems within client organizations at various levels.
  • Identify, develop, and enhance existing safety protocols, crafting effective strategies to manage risks and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert consultation on fire safety, emergency response planning, and health management.
  • Collaborate with management teams to design and implement customized safety programs, policies, and training initiatives.
  • Stay informed about local and national fire safety regulations, assisting clients in maintaining compliance.
  • Perform safety audits and reviews, analyzing data to offer actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Support clients during incident investigations, helping to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Deliver ongoing training and education to staff regarding fire prevention and health and safety best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor in achieving their safety objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including HR and legal departments, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safety management.
  • Prepare insightful reports for management and senior executives, addressing safety issues at all organizational levels.
Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, fire science, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications and training are highly desirable.

Proven experience in a consulting role focused on fire safety and health management, particularly in low to medium risk environments.

Strong understanding of fire safety codes, health regulations, and industry best practices.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying risks and developing effective solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and conveying complex information clearly.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Proficient in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.

This is a full-time position with hybrid working arrangements, requiring occasional attendance at our office.
