Senior Risk Management Consultant at Chubb
This position is integral to the Risk Management division at Chubb, which is essential in facilitating and scrutinizing risk management practices. The Senior Risk Management Consultant will take charge of advocating and executing the Chubb Risk Management Framework across various business divisions and operational units within Chubb EMEA. This role encompasses supervising risk management efforts to ensure alignment with Chubb Limited's overarching corporate objectives.
The role involves collaboration with diverse business divisions, including Property & Casualty, Accident & Health, Chubb Global Markets, and Chubb Life EMEA. Reporting to the Head of Risk for Continental Europe, the consultant will be supported by teams based in multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engagement across business units to cultivate a robust risk management culture
- Assist in the analysis of strategic and annual business plans
- Conduct risk evaluations and assessments, including scenario analyses
- Maintain the Risk Management Framework and pertinent risk documentation
- Enhance oversight and challenge within the second line of defense for risk management
- Support capital assessment initiatives and oversee risk management operations
Chubb Life Responsibilities
- Ensure the integration of the Risk Management Framework
- Refine the risk appetite framework and develop metrics based on risk
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor emerging risks
- Conduct in-depth analyses of specific risks and contribute to ORSA processes
Technical Competence and Team Collaboration
- Comprehend non-life and life insurance products along with their regulatory frameworks
- Gather and analyze quantitative data for risk assessments
- Exhibit strong organizational and analytical capabilities
- Collaborate effectively while managing multiple deliverables simultaneously
Internal & External Collaboration
- Partner with the Chubb Limited ERM team to align with Global Risk Management practices
- Engage with various units and business segments to manage risks effectively
- Provide insights for risk reports and keep abreast of regulatory changes
Systems Management
Ensure that Risk Management systems are relevant, well-maintained, and adequately supported.
General Expectations
Adhere to Chubb Limited's ethical standards and service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualifications in actuarial science, finance, or risk management
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or other European languages is advantageous
- Experience in the insurance sector with an understanding of Capital/Risk processes
- Proficient in financial modeling and MS Office applications
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
