Risk Management Specialist

Join Validus Risk Management, a leading provider of financial market risk services, as an Operations Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the trading infrastructure onboarding with investment banks and other counterparties, collecting clients' financial statements, and managing LEIs renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the trading infrastructure onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration with investment banks and other counterparties.
- Collect and review clients' financial statements, conducting ATE testing as required.
- Manage LEIs renewals, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Book trades, confirm trades, and liaise with banks to agree settlement figures, transfer orders, and deal with non-receipt claims.
- Prepare and send daily regulatory reports, utilizing technology skills to develop and automate existing reports.
- Utilize technology skills to assist with data analysis and manipulation, driving efficiency and accuracy in the GCM function.
- Carry out ad-hoc project work and other ancillary tasks as assigned by the Department Head.
- Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations, as well as all internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate or undergraduate degree in a quantitative subject, such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or Statistics.
- Familiarity with alternative asset managers and their operations, including Private Equity, Private Debt, and Secondaries.
- Basic understanding of risk management in financial markets and derivatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in VBA and Python preferred but not required.
