SENIOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT - FIRE, HEALTH & SAFETY EXPERTISE

We are in search of a highly skilled and knowledgeable Safety Management Consultant with a focus on fire, health, and safety management to become a part of our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through the complexities of legislation and policies, ensuring they achieve a secure and efficient operational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of fire, health, and safety management systems within client organizations, adhering to tailored briefs or established standards such as HS(G) 65, 45001, and BS 9997.
  • Identify, develop, and strategize existing safety protocols, crafting effective plans to manage risks, ensure compliance, and enhance overall safety and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to clients regarding fire safety, emergency response strategies, and health and safety management practices.
  • Collaborate with management teams to design and implement customized safety programs, policies, management systems, procedures, and training initiatives.
  • Stay informed about local and national fire, health, and safety regulations, assisting clients in maintaining compliance with relevant laws.
  • Perform safety audits and evaluations, analyzing data to offer recommendations for improvements or transformations.
  • Support and guide clients during incident investigations, helping them identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and prevent future incidents.
  • Deliver ongoing training and education to executives and staff on fire prevention, emergency protocols, and health and safety best practices.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and resource in achieving their fire, health, and safety goals.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including human resources, facilities, and legal departments, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safety management.
  • Engage at all organizational levels, from boardroom discussions to site-level operations, producing insightful reports and addressing issues for management and senior executives.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, fire science, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications and training are highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Management Consultant role or similar, with a concentration on fire, health, and safety in property or low to medium risk sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, health and safety laws, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for identifying potential risks and formulating effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients and conveying complex information clearly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in conducting safety audits, compliance reviews, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.

POSITION DETAILS

We offer a competitive compensation package, which is subject to location, skills, experience, and performance. This is a full-time position with standard working hours and a hybrid working model, requiring occasional attendance at our office and client meetings.
