Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Consultant to join our team at The Safety Department Ltd. As a Health and Safety Consultant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the company in its role as CDM Principal Designer.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Construction Phase Management: Manage health and safety aspects in the pre-construction phase of multiple projects.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate and organize project activities to ensure smooth execution.
- Client Consultation and Training: Provide consultation and training to clients and architects on health and safety best practices.
- Design Review and Risk Assessment: Conduct design reviews and develop design risk registers to identify potential hazards.
- Competence Assessment and Pre-Qualification: Assist with competence assessments and pre-qualification questionnaires for clients and contractors.
- Project Review and Inspection: Review projects and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Health and Safety Expertise: Possess a strong background in health and safety, including Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise.
- NEBOSH Certification: Hold a NEBOSH certification or equivalent.
- Professional Membership: Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, APS (desirable).
- Training Skills: Possess excellent training skills to deliver health and safety training to clients and contractors.
- Health and Safety Consulting Experience: Have experience in health and safety consulting and risk management.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance: Ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
