Job Title: Fire Safety Specialist
Job Summary:
The Health and Safety Partnership Limited is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on fire safety matters to clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in meeting requirements under relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, relevant secondary legislation, the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended), and the Fire Safety Order (as amended).
- Conduct fire risk analysis and provide guidance on appropriate control measures.
- Support internal design teams as part of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Address various fire safety challenges and issues across a diverse range of buildings and sectors.
- Maintain regular communication with clients' teams to coordinate inspection programs and remedial works.
- Gather on-site particulars, document required schedules of works, prepare specifications, obtain estimates, plan work schedules, and monitor on-site progress while ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Offer advice on applications for Building Regulations Approval on fire-related matters.
Requirements:
- A fire safety or fire risk engineering degree is essential.
- You will hold membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers and will have achieved or be working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council.
- You must be fully conversant with current fire safety legislation, including the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, and technical standards as well as a full understanding of current fire safety issues, trends, and best practice.
