Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement fire safety strategies, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Assist clients in meeting regulatory requirements, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations 2010, and the Fire Safety Order.
- Conduct thorough fire risk analyses and provide guidance on effective control measures.
- Support internal design teams on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
- Address fire safety concerns across diverse building types and sectors, providing expert advice and solutions.
- Maintain open communication with clients to coordinate inspection programs and remedial works.
- Collect on-site data, document work schedules, prepare specifications, obtain estimates, and monitor progress while ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Apply a systematic approach to problem-solving, adhering to budgets and deadlines.
- Offer expert advice on Building Regulations Approval for fire-related matters.
- A degree in fire safety or fire risk engineering is essential.
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers and professional registration with the Engineering Council are required.
- Proficiency in current fire safety legislation, including the Building Regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, as well as a deep understanding of fire safety issues, trends, and best practices.
