The London HR Generalist team comprises the Head of HR, HR Manager, and HR Assistant, who offer guidance and support to a substantial workforce. Our team collaborates closely with HR colleagues based in our main office. Additionally, within the broader London HR Group, we have various roles dedicated to Learning & Development, Recruitment, and Diversity initiatives. This position provides essential administrative support to the London HR Team and often serves as the initial point of contact for various HR administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver proactive administrative assistance to the team, including but not limited to:

  • Generalist HR: Maintain precise data on the HRIS, manage documentation, and assist with employee transitions.
  • HR Correspondence: Prepare and manage HR-related communications, utilizing electronic signature tools as necessary.
  • Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with the Payroll team to communicate any changes in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Immigration Support: Assist with visa applications and renewals as directed.
  • Leaver Process Management: Oversee the leaver process, ensuring all documentation is completed.
  • Intranet Maintenance: Keep HR pages updated and relevant.
  • Appraisal Assistance: Support the appraisal process by managing documentation and systems.
  • Annual Review Support: Aid in preparing documents for salary and bonus reviews.
  • Holiday Management: Act as the point of contact for holiday inquiries and manage holiday records.
  • Sickness Absence Monitoring: Track and log sickness absence, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain electronic staff files.
  • Staff Gifts Coordination: Manage the ordering of gifts and tokens for staff.
  • HRIS Development: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the functionality of the HRIS.
  • Ad hoc Reporting: Generate reports as needed from the HRIS.
  • Invoice Management: Oversee invoice payments for the HR team.
  • Project Support: Engage in various project work as required.
  • HR Apprentice Development: Contribute to the growth of the HR Apprentice.

Lateral Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Coordinate with recruitment agents and manage interview schedules.
  • Oversee technical assessments and maintain results documentation.
  • Manage the onboarding process, ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed.
  • Facilitate the induction process, including arranging schedules and necessary resources.
  • Collaborate with IT and Facilities to ensure new joiners receive required equipment.
  • Support various recruitment initiatives and projects as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 18 months of relevant experience, preferably in the legal or professional services sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient analytical and numerical skills.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Word and Excel, with experience in HR databases.
  • Innovative mindset, with a focus on improving efficiency.
  • Team-oriented approach with a commitment to excellent service delivery.
