Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior MRI Radiographer to join our dedicated team at Nuffield Health. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior MRI Radiographer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Upholding clinical governance by performing regular quality assurance checks and audits, while also contributing to the training and development of junior staff.
  • Collaborating effectively with the radiology team, including radiologists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Demonstrating flexibility by assisting with various tasks in the main department as required, fostering a cohesive team environment.
  • Engaging in administrative tasks, including the transfer and management of imaging data.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Diagnostic Radiography (BSc Hons/DCR).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety protocols and regulations.
  • The ability to independently manage MRI lists with minimal supervision.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A valid IV cannulation certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and proactive approach.

Experience

Candidates should have experience in providing a diverse range of MRI examinations, including but not limited to neurological and musculoskeletal imaging, as well as specialized scans. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology in a supportive environment.
