About the Role

The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Volunteer Manager in the daily operations related to the management and coordination of volunteers. This position is vital for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our volunteer programs, contributing to our mission of serving humanity.

This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants who are passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of volunteer application packs, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Support the recruitment of volunteers across the organization, building relationships with external institutions such as schools, colleges, and community organizations.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of volunteer information in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Lead on organizing and managing volunteer involvement in events and activities, ensuring effective briefing and debriefing.
  • Monitor and ensure the health and safety of volunteers during campaigns and activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience handling sensitive information, knowledge of confidentiality best practices, data protection regulations, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Experience working in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate volunteers or staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills with an approachable personality and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent time management, reliability, and organizational skills, proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, enhancing collaboration and program success.
