About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Claims Handler to join our team at Keoghs. As a Litigation Claims Handler, you will play a critical role in handling complex insurance claims and working closely with our clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of litigated RTA suspected fraud files on behalf of insurance clients
  • Work closely with sophisticated claims handlers and lead lawyers to achieve the best possible results
  • Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of evidence throughout the life of the case
  • Set and agree case strategies with clients, ensuring adherence to any key operating procedures or generic strategies
  • Identify strategic litigation opportunities and complex cases when appropriate
  • Handle files in accordance with agreed client guidelines on a non-delegated basis
  • Ensure maximum client satisfaction on each case
  • Accurately and timely complete all client and internal MI
  • Achieve both client and internal KPIs
Requirements
  • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler
  • Experience in handling RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case loads
  • Understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes, together with indemnity principles
  • Knowledge of the litigation process and working knowledge of the CPR
  • Good advocacy skills
  • Good client care skills and evidence of working to client guidelines
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, keep to deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
  • Experience of time recording and billing systems
  • Excellent IT skills
