About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigated Fraud File Handler to join our team at Keoghs. As a Litigated Fraud File Handler, you will play a critical role in handling fraud cases from the point of litigation through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Excellence
    • Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of evidence throughout the life of the case
    • Develop and implement case strategies, ensuring adherence to any key operating procedures or generic strategies
    • Manage case files in accordance with agreed work type process stages
    • Identify strategic litigation opportunities and complex cases when appropriate
    • Monitor client trends and identify opportunities to raise profile with clients
  • Client Excellence
    • Run files in accordance with agreed client guidelines
    • Ensure maximum client satisfaction on each case
    • Accurately and timely complete all client and internal management information
    • Achieve both client and internal key performance indicators
  • Technical Excellence
    • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders on the case to carry out agreed investigations and implement the set strategy
    • Comply with all procedural and investigative deadlines
    • Achieve the best result in litigation, protecting the client's position in relation to proceedings, ensuring full compliance with the court timetable and utilizing procedural tactical advantages where possible
    • Deal proactively and achieve the best results with case investigations and strategy from receipt until point of resolution
    • Delegate tasks as appropriate to assistants to take the case forward
    • Timely and accurately maintain all Case Management Systems from opening to closure
    • Adhere to file management policies
    • Comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Standards & Regulations

    Requirements
    • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler or suitably qualified
    • Experience of handling RTA pre-litigated and/or litigated case load
    • An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes together with indemnity principles
    • Knowledge of the litigation process/working knowledge of the CPR, relevant Personal Injury Protocols and working platforms/portals
    • Good advocacy skills
    • Good client care skills and evidence of working to client guidelines
    • High level of analytical skills
    • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize work, keep to deadlines and work under pressure
    • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions
    • Excellent IT Skills
    • Experience of time recording and billing systems
