Role Summary.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to become part of our Technical team at Bakkavor Meals, Boston. The facility employs over 700 individuals and specializes in producing chilled Italian ready meals and contemporary deli products for a dedicated clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Systems Management:
  • Assist with the administrative functions of the Technical Department concerning QMS and HACCP standards
  • Aid in the generation of Technical KPI Reports
  • Ensure effective analysis of Non-Conformance, complaints, microbiological, and nutritional surveillance to guarantee thorough root cause analysis and subsequent improvements
  • Facilitate Pest Control coordination and compliance visits.
  • Support the maintenance of the Allergen Risk Assessment by ensuring all relevant procedures are executed and modifications are made to align with business needs.
  • This role involves data entry, trend analysis, information requests, action coordination, change management procedures, and communication with relevant stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traceability exercises across the site in collaboration with other departments. Drive enhancements in traceability systems to ensure full compliance.
  • Communication: ensure effective, professional, and timely communication with customers. Participate in customer audits and visits.
  • Relay pertinent information in specific forums to guarantee the site is always audit-ready.
  • Auditing: perform audits as part of the internal QMS. Analyze actions and non-conformances and report findings in relevant forums. Collaborate with the Technical management team to communicate outstanding areas and updates to standards to ensure compliance with all current relevant standards, COP, and legislation.
  • Specifications: collaborate with the site Specification Technologist to create and update finished product specifications to meet customer needs.
  • Work with the team to ensure all changes related to product launches, delists, and promotional activities are executed.
  • Assist the team with export documentation compliance, including managing export vet officer visits.
  • Provide support to other members of the Technical team in various tasks as needed and be adaptable to cover different roles, also participating in projects.

Candidate Profile.
  • Technical experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities
